Karl9 – Science hub for technology and society

Technology affects almost all areas of our everyday lives. Where technology meets society, opportunities, risks and numerous questions arise: Do we want to be cared for by robots? How will we get around in the future? Where will we store nuclear waste safely? We will find answers to these questions through dialogue between science and society. This is where ITAS research comes in.

With the “Karl9 – Science hub for technology and society“, there is a space in the immediate neighbourhood of the institute building where this exchange with you, the citizens, takes place – in form of exhibitions, discussion events and workshops. In the barrier-free shop, we provide information about our research during fixed opening hours and welcome questions and discussions in a relaxed atmosphere.
